Abide, an app for prayer

Abide 02Along with the sentiments expressed in my New Beginnings post, I am seeing this recurring theme of surrendering all, being all in, not being lukewarm. Pastor’s message, songs from the Worship set, ear worms, and now today. I truly believe in the discipline of regular devotional time. The Men’s Accountability Group encourages the guys to read Portals of Prayers, so I do and am usually blessed and uplifted. But I also use the Bible You Version app.

Today I began a new Rick Warren study and at the end of the devotional content was a link to something called Abide, a prayer app. Within was this explanation for today’s Verse of the Day, Jer 29:13: “Jeremiah tells us that when we call on God, when we come to God, when we pray to God, when we seek God, and when we seek Him with all of our heart that we will find Him and He will restore us.”

Great words I need to hear. Reading you loud and clear, Lord.

  1. I see you “borrowed” the Logos Bible reflagger from Worship Matters–good move. That gives a nice professional look to the site. Will it also work in the comments? For example, you’ve told me your Confirmation verse is Matt 28:20 and that your wedding/marriage verse is Eph 4:15. I’ll check back later to see if Reflagger works in the Comments section.
